I finally received my Arc today, and I must say that this little light is unbelievable!! I am amazed that so much light can come out of something so small. Besides the size, this casing is seemingly indestructable and the textured grip is awesome as well. The main perk about the Arc is that I won't have to be looking all over town for those lithium batteries!!! :D

I like my new Arc so much that I gave my white Photon II to my father-in-law. ;) I highly recommend the Arc to anyone that's looking for a small, compact light for keychain carry, small pocket light, etc.. The Arc AAA is well worth the price. :D

I've heard so much about this light. I'm dying to try it out for myself. Where did you get yours? How much did you pay?

I second the praise on the Arc AAA. I just got one, immediately ordered two more and packed away the photons.

I also bought the new version of the Inova X5, and I have to tell you that is on slick piece of gear. Absolute quality from start to finish. It is the right size, feels substanial in your hand without being overly heavy or bulky, and the new instant on switch on the rear of the light was just what the first version was missing. It is not as bright as the Surefire, but it is darn close, and good enough for all but the most specialized of applications. I will order another one to put in the truck.
My two cents worth.

Pete, you hit the nail on the head.:D I got mine from Texas Tactical Supply, after finding that they had the best price out there. Total was $25.44, this consisted of:

19.99 for light,
4.00 shipping,
and TX sales tax(for TX residents).

Great price for a great little light!! ;)

Between my ARC AAA and my new X5 i think i have all my lighting needs taken care of. Anyhting that's out of range of the X5 is my Surefire M2's job :D

I managed to get one of the Limited Edition Arc AAAs. Love it!

Who has the new Inova X5 in stock? Does anyone know who has the best prices on them?

I just received a Arc AAA LE from Bright Guy. I understood them to say they just received some more of the Limited Edition lights. It's an impressive little light.

Maybe someone here will know...

Is there any difference between the regular Arc AAA and the Limited Edition besides the finish?

I've had mine for more than a month. I got mine from TAD. I'm still on my first battery because I don't have to use mine much, maybe back and forth to the truck at night.

I'm never without it.

Not that you can really "see".
You can get all the info. at: CandlePowerForums.com

The "LE" or limited addition uses a slightly brighter and slightly whiter LED. The regular version has a bit more blue in the color then the LE. I have heard that is the biggest difference, and that the brightness is very close, like 5%.

The Arc Lights are awesome. I've had mine for about 2 weeks and I've found that even batteries with almost no power make the Arc shine bright. I've attached a large Reeve knot of paracord to mine so that I can hold it like a flashlight and that I'll have some extra cord.
Cool Gadget!

Damn, I must be odd man out on this one.

I still say that for the size, weight, and burn time stick with a Photon II. The Arc light is as bright if not less than the photon II out of the box, and this is a Photon that has been in use for 2 months. You could carry 4 photons (Just a guess) to match the weight of an ARC light. Turning on the ARC light is a little more tricky with one hand. ARC lights burn time is 5 hours, photon (White) 20 hours.

Granted I like the fact that the arc light is water proof to 50ft, made of a stronger material than plastic ... but really a solitaire minimag for $7 would fit the same bill as well.

Going to stick with the Photon for now.

Ryan: Hate to disagree. But you can look at some
pretty new data here (it is for the Photon3 but I pretty sure the numbers are close, It's atleast close to what I've seen with the 2 PhotonsII I own)
http://www.uwgb.edu/nevermab/battery.htm
Shows the Photon only being brighter for less then
first 15 minutes (now 15 minutes is a long time for normal use),
Then it being dead in about 10.5 hours, with the Arc-AAA
being dead only 3 hours before (Ofcourse when/if they come out
with Lithium-AAA batteries that would change).
But the Photon has droped to HALF brightness in 3 hours
(to dim to use, Except in total darkness, I.E. no help to
me then I'm working on a computer or car) BUT
the Arc is still at about 65% after 6 HOURS!

My real problem with the Photons is the batteries,
They cost about $10 (for 2 CR2016) for about 3
hours of useable (for me anyway) light.
While the battery for the Arc is about .50 to $1
and gives about 6 hours of useable light.

Now as to Mag Solitaire (I have more of these then Photons by the way)
Only gets about 2 hours out of the battery and only about the
first 1 hour is real useable (again for what I do) light.
It also gets QUIET yellow as the bulb starts to die and asumeing
the bumb is not broken by a fall, You will still need to
replace the bulb after about 4-10 hours and at $1 that adds up
preety quick. And also the beam is not nearly as white or as
smooth as the Arc-AAA. Just as a side note I used a "dead"
battery from a Solitaire (I.E. NO light when in the Solitaire)
to run a ARC-AAA NON-stop for 5 hours! then shut it off over night
and it went for another hour in the morning.
It's not dead till about .600v in an ARC

But as always to each his own!

That is outrageous! I think I've got a spare in the fridge ... yup, paid $1.89 at the drugstore.

eBay is also a good source. I got 40 2016s for about $15 shipped! I've had them for over two years and still have about a dozen left!
