I am looking for opinions on the CUDA Arc Lite. In the process of shopping for a neck knife I have eliminated most of the knives above $50 based on price point. I am really considering the ArcLite and the CRKT neck peck. I have not had much of a chance to handle either knife as I am in the military overseas, so I am relying on your opinions/responses. Thanks.

The arclite is good. Very slim profile, lightweight, sharp, ergonomic and well priced. HOWEVER, before you get one, be sure to check out Newt Livesays' neck knives. They are excellent semi-custom knives that come with a great price and outstanding customer service.

Just got done looking at the livesay page.... does any one have some more info or opinions of these knives?

Newt Livesay turns out excellent knives, large and small. They are also very cost effective. The NRGS-executive is the best overall knife. The Woo is the best pure weapon, the Little pecker is probably the best as a utility knife.
Newt does a very good heat treat and gets all there is to get out of 1095. You can also get these knives in D2, 440C, and other steels as well.
A very large part of Newt's production goes to the military. Do a search in these forums on Newt Livesay. You will get lots of information.

i have an arc lite and a woo, and prob prefer the woo a little bit, but the arc lite is a good one too, has a better edge for edc use i think.....i honestly like the woo cuz its better looking imho lol, w/the wrapped handle, thats about it.........

I'm not very happy with my neck peck. I love the blade shape, and the knife itself, but the sheath seems to rub the blade and take the edge off the knife.

I sharpen this thing to hair popping sharpness, and its dull after ~8 draws. If I just left it in their till I was going to use it it wouldn't be a big deal, but I like to fiddle with my knives.

If you were willing to spend the money to get a custom sheath done though, I think you would be happy with it. I posted some pics here if you want to see some close ups.

I wrapped the grip in the paracord it comes with to give it a more substantial feel in my hand(the bare handle is kind of small)
