Does anyone make a folder with a Scandinavian-style V-grind like on the Moras? Preferably a lock-blade.

Hello,

Well the mora's are known to be cheap blades with a great quality, at least I found they have great quality for a low budget.

First thing that comes to mind is the opinels...V grind, thin blade, cheap and helluva bang for the bucks. Locking too.

I believe fallknives makes a folder now too...

Besides those, a lot of the hi-tech folders these day have flat grinds.. Spyderco military, salsa, calypso... except the handles are not really skandinavian style.

greetz and take care, Bart.

But those Kellams and Fallknivens don't have a Scandanavian grind, do they? I thought they were all a standard flat or sabre grind with secondary edge bevel. I'd be pleased to find out I'm wrong about that.

I should have been more specific about what I am looking for. It occurred to me that the Scandinavian V-grind would be great for a field knife because you just lay the bevel flat on the stone to sharpen it. It would be easily field maintainable--on a flat rock in a pinch. The Moras are supposed to be great cutters, too, so it seems like someone would offer a folding version. Just a thought.
