I have been sucking kydex all day long
had a huge police dept order for G-22 & m-3 light combo holsters:eek:
And I am sponsering a stage at the mystry mountain 3 gun match so I had to make a bunch of AR mag pouches:eek: what a day oh yeah I had a few sheaths to make also.

i was just look ing for some one to chat with! david!!! have you ever made some sheaths to strap to a life jacket? i raft alot and would like to carry small busses on my jacket. what do you think?

Idaho I have made stuff that attaches to a Tac vest I'm sure we can figure out something for your life vest. Man if I just made sheaths for your & one who oinks collection I could retire............but I wouldn't :D

Not to but into your conversation but I spend a lot of time on the water. A blade on the vest is a good idea, just be cautious as to retention level and location. For years most paddlers here in the southeast wore them on the left shoulder or chest area with the handle down, cool-guy style. A few have lost them hauling folks back in the boat. Imagine an occasional boater getting flipped outta the raft into a class IV rapid, freaking out, arms flailing/clutching at anything and as you lean out to grab-em they snatch the blade right out of the sheath. Had a group of boaters on Chattooga one day get in wrestling match to throw each other in. As one guy was going in he grabbed at his buddy, pulled a fixed blade right outta the sheath and it came down slashing deep across the inside of the forearm. Hmmm...might be a good application for a folder (wink, wink)!!

i lost a really nice griptilian benchmade in the rapid. my camera was around the neck of a gal in the front of my boat. read the rapid wrong and had to much to drink... we all went for the big swim!!

i have had folders open while clipped to my vest and the blade looks pretty scarey pointing straight at your throat while still clipped to the pad. i wouldn't carry a folder there anymore.

That's a sticky looking hole, great action pic!! I've been using a folder in a RiverCity Sheath with very good results. I attach it to the adjustment straps of my PFD so I could access it with either hand. It's taken a couple of good chunderings and still retained the knife. Keep the open side up...
