I just cut myself deeply with my Sebby while I was playing with it. What a dumbass I am. Now I truly know how sharp it is. My wife married the biggest idiot.:D

I have a very nice cut on my thumb right now. This evening I was closing my leatherman micra, and managed to clip the end of the thumb.

Now, I'd been plaing with a spyderco native and buck 110 for quite a while, but the micra leaps out and bites me.

Go figure.

"I feel your pain" Been there, done that. I now carry bandaids in my wallet. Hope it's not too serious. Take care.

Hey Kutch, don't feel too bad. You can't be too big of an idiot...at least you used your 'benza :). Hope you heal quickly.

It's so funny that I'm a grown man and father of 2, but try to hide cuts from my wife...

"I don't need no stinkin' stitches..."

;)

We all adults here! Hide the owie from the wife and brag to the guys on the forum!

You got to train hard those lil´ bastids, so they learn not to bite the hand that feeds them.:p

BTW is there a better way to speed up the recovery from knife cuts? besides stitching? I hear that if you put a slice of onion it heals faster but personally think its just BS.

Take care!

Alex:D

Odd little ways learned from camping/survival trips...

-moist tea bags to soak up blood till it's almost stopped
-cut a clove of garlic in half, then spread the juice with one of the halves on your cut(along the slice). seals up well.

I gave myself a deep cut last year. Was being stupid and trying to enlarge the hole in a bottle of chain lube for my mt. bike. Ended up sticking my knife in my hand just below knuckle. What an idiot!

I used plenty of steri-strips and butterfly bandages to avoid getting stitches. Super glue works good to seal wounds closed. Heard it was originally developed for that purpose. Steri-strips are worth their weight in gold too.

VW, never heard the garlic thing...have you tried it?

i've got you beat... i took a hunk out of my thumb with a spiderco MOUSE last week. "at least it's a clean cut" he says.

i tried cut the tip of my finger off with my leatherman micra once too.

oh well. hands are meant for getting scratched up (at least we don't make stone tools anymore... owch). anyways, didn't you hear -- chicks dig scars.

Neosporin (?spelling) is probably
the best thing to promote fast healing.
Something your wife probably Knows...

What is it with Micra's?
I got my mother one for her b-day a couple years ago... and the blade still has a razor sharp factory edge (its the only part she doesnt use, uses the scissors more).... and I'm still scared of that little flat ground blade.... its scary sharp, literally and thin, thin... will cut the snot out of a guy if he aint careful.

Havent cut myself recently... something must be wrong... I needa knife-sturbate more. ;)

I've got a friend who has cut himself about 3 times with his Micra. I don't think I'll be getting one of those
