Just received a knife in for a fit up, what a gem this is, a rather largish folder, Toothpick style with two blades, one a clip point and the other a wharncliffish blade, closed length is just a hair over 5", the pearl is very nice, the bolsters are made of beautiful Mokume which are dovetailed to match the dovetailing of the pearl scales.
The back springs are also damascus and are of good strength, all in all quite a lovely knife!
Blades are flat ground and the edge seems thin enough for good cutting!

I'll let Art chime in on some details, the knife is sold folks and the lucky guy is anxiously waiting!!

Good work Art!

Sittin' here with a big smile on my face. Congratulations Art.
Thanks for showing it to us Gary.

Blades and springs are 180 layer (1084 and 15-n-20) double high carbon ladder pattern Devin Thomas Damascus. Bolsters are 3 color Devin Thomas raindrop mokume. Pearl is presentation grade dovetailed into the bolsters. This knife has been know to cut of its' own accord and I have the scar in my palm to prove it.

That's a Beauty!
Nice work as usual Art, I hope the hand is healing.
Gary, great pic thanks for posting it.

I've been back to look at that pic three times already. Beautiful work--really grows on you. Exquisite display on your website, too, Mr. Washburn.

Thanks for the peek, G2.

Thanks for the compliments, just enjoyed looking at this folder and wanted to share, Art emailed me a couple of pics he took before it left and I'll share one here that displays the blades better than my scan did;

Gary
I opened this post with shakey hands and with the checkbook handy, just incase. Then I see that the knife is sold. Now I can go find the checkbook and finish paying bills.

Gus, are you the lucky owner or just another guy wiping drool off his chin?

Really nice knife!!!

I write with tears in my eyes and there is only one thing I can say:

"It's NOT mine"

Para leaves followed by sounds of wailing and sobbing...

I've seen Art's work for a couple of years now at west coast shows. The guy keeps getting better and better.
Nice piece Gary.
Guess it's about time to have him make me something.

Nope - not mine.
I am in line for a Doctor's knife from Art. (Hint to Nifrand) :)
