I know there's more than a few of you who own a tomahawk by Great River forge. i would be great full for a review and some pics if at all possible.

I'm always a day late and a dollar short on picking one up from off of the for sale section.

Has any one ordered one directly from their website? If so what was the turn around time?

thanks in advance

I ordered from the web site and got it in a few days. Well worth the money....

I've had my GRF Large French Hawk for about 2.5 years now. Good hawk and my favorite. I've had 5 hawks over the years and it's the one I keep going back to. I like the as forged look, the shape, and ballance. It's also great for modding. The Beared on mine is sharpened for better hooking of things. :)

The hawk has gone on a bunch of camp outs with me in the last 2 years. Spent time on my backpack on backpacking trips and on my belt on day hikes. It's a good tool with a classic look and feel. Friends and I have used it to chop down some small trees 8" and smaller, split wood and throw. My only complaint has been that the handle feels a little thin. But if I wear gloves while using it, it feels okay. So I plan on replacing the handle one of these days with something a little thicker. Got a campout planned for this weekend and my GRF hawk is packed and ready to go!

For forty bucks they're hard to beat. Wish he sold his folders for $40.00 ;-))
