Attaching a clip to a Benchmade/Pardue 850

A store near me has had a Benchmade/Mel Pardue 850 for sell for quite some. I think that the lack of a clip may be partially to blame for no one buying as of yet. Frankly that and the price (which I think I can get them to drop some) has kept me from buying it. However, I have a birthday coming up and I'm thinking about treating myself. The one sticking point that still remains is the lack of a clip. So after all that rambling here's my question: Has anyone attached a clip to an 850 or similar knife that has ivory Micarta scales? If so, who did it and how does it look?

I had the 850-01 which had a clip on it.

Clipless knives are easier on the hand. Instead of changing the original design, why not use a knife pouch clipped to the pocket? You can get the William and Henry pouches from knifecenter and Elishiwitz sells some nylon ones at his site. Both styles clip to your pocket, with your knife slipped into the pouch, this then allows easy acess to your knife w/o modification for <25 $. One caveat, you will get some wear on the knife from sheath, particularly from the William and Henry leather pouch, but I've not tried the nylon ones yet.
