Availability on Camp Tramp?

I was reading in the 'place to order' section at the Swamp, and noticed that there was a three to six week estimate for delivery time.

Are these knives made when they are ordered? Just curious, since I plan on ordering a Camp Tramp here in a couple of weeks.

I know we've already answered you at the other Nest, but I'm going to fill this in for anybody who may be lurking here.

Typically, the wait on the main line is much shorter than this, and the listed delivery times are just a worst-case estimate.

When new models are released, the initial wait can be this long and longer, but the Camp Tramp should get to you reasonably quickly.

Warren's right.

The Camp Tramp orders are usually filled within 10-14 days of receiving the order. Sometimes, you may have it within 10 days, it just depends. The 3-6 week estimate is a worse-case scenario estimate, and it seldom takes that long.

We would rather give a bit too long of an estimate and it arrive early than give a short estimate and possibly miss it.

thanks for the reply and I've got to tell you that your Swamp Rats, and what I've read on them so far, are giving me a serious itch for fixed blades that I never had before. I have a feeling that the Camp Tramp is the beginning of the end, for me.

KBR, I have a Camp Tramp and rather like it. I think you will to. I got together with some friends last Friday and the CT was well recived.

Yep, having been down this road myself I can attest to the fact that these Rat things are addictive, and it gets expensive......but then a new urge hits, for something related but far more expensive, when the Busse fever hits then your in real trouble Yep, the Rat is the gateway drug Believe me I get in more trouble when that next "last knife" hits the mailbox
