this is something i had never even heard of....

each blade is marked
joseph rodger's and sons
cutlerers to her majesties
no.6 norfolk street
sheffield

each also carries the cross and star with the number 13 on the tang

the handle is genuine elephant ivory and has a corrosponding 13 on the brass blade holder.
each blade is interchangeable and is held in by a pin that releases by a button on the brass holder.

my initial research puts this razor in the mid to late middle 1800's

box sucks but hey i think this is so cool and its all complete.

Nice find! Kinda strange that it only had 4 blades rather than full 7 as in a gentleman's set.

Perhaps it was used by a royal barber?
