Axe Identification or History

I inherited my grandfathers axe. He was a woodsman in Maine. The axe is stamped 3-1/4 lbs. and the only other identifying mark is a three diamond symbol with the letters TBA in the center of each diamond. My father and uncles always referred to them as the three diamond axes. Can anyone provide any information regarding the manufacturer and if they are still available.
