Had a great time!

My personal highlight was the hands-on blade forging.

Here is a picture of me forging a blade under the guidance and teaching of Terry Primos who is watching me in the right side of the photo.

Terry makes it look so easy...then reality set in quickly as I started pounding on my own. What a great time!

Here are a few more pics:

Grinding demonstrations were done by MasterSmith Jim Crowell. I was happy to provide the grinders.

There was a Saturday and a Sunday grinding session.
Here is one more view of Jim grinding with Dr. Jim Lucie carefully watching over his shoulder.

The turn-out was tremendous! There was only a handful of forum guys there though.

I'm already looking forward to going again in the spring. The 15hr drive was well worth it!

Sincerely,
Rob

Rob,
It was a pleasure meeting you. I'm glad you enjoyed the Hammer-In, and am delighted to hear that you will be returning in the Spring.

The hands-on instruction went very well, and I expect that it will become a regular part of the Hammer-In's at Old Washington. This was the first time for a hands-on class, and we were just winging it.

Guys,
I had an opportunity to work on Rob's grinders between classes. These things are absolutely top drawer -- sturdy, heavy-duty contruction, quiet, and smooth as glass. I tried out the new rotary platen too. I was very impressed with everything Rob brought. The man knows what he's doing.

Rob: Like is said before you are a hammer-in Junkie and a good salesman showing off your goods. Sell any rotary platens??
