a good way to start today is with the Pronghorns. Having just purchased one from Bill Burke, it was great to be able to put Ed's piece of equal size and approximate shape into the same photo
and the obverse view
and another of the Malaysian collection
GW Hawk, a father and son team of fine knifemakers has some very creative and innovative ideas relating to folders and to tacticals. Unfortunately, I have been unable to locate the paper with their info as they had run out of business cards when I chatted briefly with them. Maybe someone who was at the show or is familiar with their work can fill in the details.
In any event, let us look at a few knives
note that the lock release is on the side of the handle
in addition to the above model, they have created the T.O.A.D and I have forgotten what the acronym stands for but the closing of the knife is really quite interesting
note the closing device mid handle. it slides up and over and moves the blade from open into the knife handle
