What would be the easiest way to sharpen a balisong? I have never even sharpened a knife before.

So I'm maybe looking for a fool proof way like some sort of sharpening system?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Most knifemakers set the edge using a micron belt on a grinder and then finish up on a buffing wheel. Thatws not really a practical way to sharpe knives for someone who doens't make them though.
I like to sharpen free hand using a combination of bench stones. It takes some time and effort to learn, but once you get good at it you can sharpen pretty much any shape or size of blade you want to with few exceptions.
If you want something you can get good results with right away, then you should check out one of the sharpening systems. I don't know a whole lot about them, you can find alot of information about them by doing searches in the general forum for "edge pro" "razors edge" "gatco" and "sharpmaker"
Hope that helps some.

I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer... but I've got the sharpest knife in the room.
