Ban on Swiss Army Knives

I remember reading some while back that a suburb of Chicago got into a mood of banning "Rambo" knives (presumably paramilitary knives) and decided to ban Swiss Army Knives because they sounded paramilitary. Does anybody know if this is true? Are there any other cases like this? Thanks.
