...just got one from a trade... I have to say this is one of the better designed knives I have seen or owned for a variety of reasons. The blade is a great design, useful for defense, utility, and anything else you would want a smaller fixed blade to do. The coating is of the highest quality and looks like a real winner! The finger choil on the blade allows for choking up when doing finer tasks and it is razor sharp!

The handle is the ergonomic resiprene, fits my hand like it was made for it... it is obvious that it would not become slippery when wet and in both cold and hot climates be very comfortable. I think that it is fantastic that is will not be hurt by DEET!

I believe this is the knife I will have within reach no matter where I am, in my briefcase, car, backpack, etc... I will be looking into other methods of carry such as teklock kydex and others, but overall I have no complaints.

If you are skeptical, just buy one and see for yourself... this is a great knife! Kudos to everyone at the Swamp.

I like to think of the Bandicoot as a scaled down version of the Spec Ops Rat ;):D

The Coot is a handy and very useful knife, keep us updated on how it performs. :D:D

Hey Bravado, sorry the battery died on my old digital camera... time to buy a new one, but that would lower my knife budget!

Eric.... sure sure, looks like a scaled down version... well scale her back up a bit! I have some extra money to spend right now... and I sure would like the specops knife!

You mean you didn't order the Bandicoot SUPERSIZE? ;):D:D

We've had a lot of requests for the Spec Ops knife so you never know what we might do :D:D

Put my Bandi to the test this last weekend! unfortunately the pics I took were out of focus, so let your imaginations take over here...

I went backpacking and used the bandi to cut everything from food packages to cutting up a lot of small tinder for making a fire. Not an easy task as most of the wood where I was had been soaked in the recent rains. Needless to say she cut perfectly and stayed sharp no matter how much hard wood I cut. The handle was comfortable and easy to hold and the blade never dulled at all. As a comparison I had my step-son with me who had a fixed blade knife from Kershaw... had to sharpen it once to keep a reasonable edge and he cut less than I did!

I don't have the HR to compare it to, but for the size of the knife it excelled at every task it was put too... take along something to chop major wood with such as a BR or CT and you could not go wrong with the combo.

thx for the feedback Climber! I find that I am handling my coot more and more, but still yet to use it. I just look at it for now. Now, if they were to come up with some factory brown and white for the CT, then WOW, what a matching set that would make! Could have a real traditional weekend then....with exception to Rc...hey Eric, when are the stag handles coming?

hmmm, I may have to go cut something with it tonight...

Matching CT and BC sheaths?? Hmmmmmmm... That does sound interesting!;) Might have to do some leather crafting soon....:p Giant Evil Rat just keeps sticking in my mind... Bahahahahahahah...:D

MtnClimber,
Thanks for the update. We've gotten some very positive feedback on the Bandicoot so far. We knew it would be popular and it sure has been. :D:D
