I came home from working out of town to my surprise package. Uncle Bill, you sure fire those khukuris fast as rockets to your customers!

Well I never thought I would own a khukuri too nice to use. This BAS from Bura is not getting the "chop" test. The blade is small, but "cute". I know many like this size but I like a bigger more aggressive blade. I have fat fingers and the horn handle is too small for my mits, but fit my wife's hands perfect. It is a beautiful piece of work. My first horn handle and it is gorgeous.

Maybe some of you "oldtimers" can educate me on the designs on the side of the blade. I have a sirupati with no "mark", but has the brass decoration on the side as this BAS. The fancy scrolling is on this khukuri as well as the sirupati. Some have one line, others two parallel lines, with no scroll work. Is there any significance with the variations?

I'm hooked. I need therapy. I can't stop myself. I need more khukuris! I was warned but didn't listen. Tell me, is there any hope? Six in 8 weeks, and no stopping.

All the best, Sam
