Basket hilt swords, who make a quality sword?

I have been looking at the Cold Steel examples, but I have noticed a drop in quality in Cold Steel products over the past ten years.

I would like to find a quality sword in original style.

Any suggestions?

It depends upon your budget. If it's a production piece you want I would consider Armourclass http://www.armourclass.com/. If it's custom of course a Vince Evans would be one of the best but he doesn't accept commissions anymore. You can see some of his work here:

I don't have any personal experience with Rob Miller of Castle Keep
http://www.castlekeep.co.uk/basket.php but I have always liked his work from what I have seen online, just another option to add

Here are 2 custom ordered hilts that ElJay Erickson made for me, when the other hilts (English) get here I'll post photos of them...I have the blades for all the hilts, just have been lazy in mounting them

Duh! I totally forgot about Mr. Miller. I've owned two swords by him and can say that he does outstanding work. You might want to suggest a particular basket pattern if ordering from him though as he seems to default to regimental patterns for whatever reason.
