I have one of fiberglass collapsable poles. one with the little reel to hold extra line spooled with 10# spider wire The kids were catching bluegill off the dock I noticed a decent bass swim passed so I put a 2/0 hook on the cane pole and used the next bluegill the kids caught as bait . My neice ask if I wanted to use her Dads rod and reel . I told her I think I'll be all right with what I have :D I landed a 19 inch bass a 18 inch bass and a 17 inch bass in about 20 minutes All released unharmed  19 inch bass on a crappie poleis a handful :D

Fun stuff! I use cane poles and ultra light fishing equipment often when going for panfish, and I also get some nice size bass/pickeral/trout unexpectedly and the fight is on!

I really like to catch bass on a panfish pole. It makes for a fun fight. Good pictures, I love the water snake eating the catfish!

Plumberroy, the one shot looks like Eastfork, wouldn't happen to be the place would it???
There is nothing like hooking into a bass on a cane pole, flyrod, or on an ultralight rig. Nice letting the bass live another day.
Be safe.

Farmland conservation club between Winchester and Farmland Indiana It is 1 1/2 hours north of Cincinnati about 15 miles from Indiana/ Ohio state line Nice club has 3D archery range, trap field, and up to 300 yard Range plus clay bird throwers down by the rifle range for informal practice nice club house Brother/sister in laws plus a nephew and his wife are members third family get together we've had there.
Several years ago at my nephews wedding reception there we went through 8 cases of clay birds and several bricks of 22's, several hundred rounds of handgun ammo and a few boxes of high powered stuff. We had fishing stuff and some one to help the kids fishing. we had a band in the club house and enough food to feed a small country Best wedding reception I have ever been to.
