Just got my new small sebenza. Main I can't put it down. This is my second benza, I have an older one without the clip and a polished ATS-34 blade. Had to get a small one cause the sheeple at work thought that it was to large. Anyway, I ordered another sheath from Gary "G2" Graley, so I can parade this one around at work in the same fashion.
I got to admit, I've heard a lot of people on the forum saying they were disappointed in the asthetics of the clip vs. new clip vs. cut out. I have to admit, if you were truly looking for a "pretty" knife, you probably should have got something else...don't get me wrong...the benza isn't some G10 handled, mirror polished...file work custom, just a workhorse of a knife. In college, I took a CAD/CAM class and had to make a piece out of wax (fear that the students would destroy the machine). It was something really simple, but the hours that I spent entering code and fixing mistakes in my code gave me a great appreciation for the design of this knife. I'm glad somebody took the time to use technology and manufacture a knife like this.
I have taken off the lanyard and clip, only to admire the differnt cutting/drilling techniques used to make the handles. I must say that I find it truly appealing to me because of my background. I even liked the stone washed finished...I guess this is going to be my workaholic blade that will replace my BM mini-stryker as daily carry. Sorry to go off on a tangent, but I just needed to vent.
