Becker Brute handles

Looked at several knives: Busse, Livesay and Cold Steel, all great blades. I was attracted to the Bolo style of the Brute so now I own one.
I chopped 2, 5" oak deadfall logs in two just to get the feel of this blade. The wood was harder than I expected, but the blade cut well.
I think the handle may be just a tad slick. The blade slipped out of my hand 2 times hacking at the tree. I would try some anti-skid tape, but its too rough. Any ideas?
I pried a 2x6 board nailed good to a fence with no problem. The knife was very sharp out of the box and looks absolutley untouched after the days activities.
Ethan Becker is a genius, I have my eye on other Becker knives.

I would like to try taping or some other reversable method but it sounds like sanding may be the way to go. I just would like a neat way to do it.

Try old fashioned cloth electrical friction tape. It's black, it's tacky, it's removeable:D

Hi
I like tennis racket tape, as it shock absorbing, sweat absorbing and you can choose verious color!

Thanks GlockDoc, that sounds perfect.
A G34 and G19 owner myself
Tennis racket tape also sounds like a winner.
Experimenting is half the fun, thanks guys.

Easier still is a length of 550 cord cut to a proper lanyard length. I use the method of wrapping the lanyard over the back of my wrist, hooked to my thumb. No sanding or adhesives required.

This has worked very well with my Campanion. It also serves as a security line slipped through my belt when traveling through the brush. I hate to loose a good knife.
