Becker Campanion feedback?

First, could someone clarify its blade length once and for all? The Camillus website lists 5.25". However, online distributors measure it anywhere from 4.5" to 5-1/8"; several comments/reviews on BF have also used these numbers. So, what is its actual length from tip to handle?

Second, how would you rate its cutting/slicing ability? We know that the blade is plenty tough; however, let’s put aside chopping for a moment. How well does the Campanion perform more routine chores (e.g., food prep, whittling marshmallow sticks or tent stakes) compared to other 4.5"-5" blades you’ve used? (And please identify those knives!)

Finally, the 0170-6C appears to keep its edge for a long time. How well does it respond to re-sharpening? As compared to what?

Thanks!
Glen

The great thing about the internet is nobody can see what shape your head is.

Hey thanks, Cougar!

(My next question was going to be about a steel pipe …

Okay, then: so how is its black coating holding up?
