Hi Folks,

Something that is driving me a bit nutty. On my BurrKing I get the belts drifting left right, anywhere from 1/16" to 1/8".
Wondering if this is avoidable at all.
A friend of mine checked all the wheels for trueness and I changed the drive belt on the unit.

It just one of those things, when I have ground the bevel "perfect", the belt drifts and messes it up.

Any thoughts are apreachiated.

Take some electrician tape and tape the middle of the idler wheel with about 1/8 inch stack of tape. This might help. Tighten your belts up tighter (might help)
The other thing is to check to see if the wheel is flat and true to the machine. Being in line is good with the other pulley, but IF the face is not true it will move a little.
If you are using the flat platen this will cause trouble if its not square also.

Check for slop in hte idle assembly.
When you tighten the belt the assemble my be moving off just a little from the pressure.

Thomas the same thing happened to me with my BEE. I found that the top wheel wasn't true to the frame that holds it. It took a couple of careful wacks with a big hammer to correct it.

Problem solved.
I should have checked the small things first, but I guess it was to obvious.

There is a small set screw/bolt that was out of adjustment. Now it is tracking great.

Thanks again.
