I just ordered one from the website and am pretty excited/nervous. I know T.K.C. had one, but ended up trading it. Has anyone else had a chance to see or handle one? Thanks.

I know this is a month old thread, but did you get your Sandshark & how do you like it?

Ben makes a great knife!! Did you get the Sandshark or the Sandsahrk II? What do you think of it?

Well, I just received my Sandshark II today (From a trade, but it is near mint). Last week I got my first Sebenza (A new small classic Cobote wood inlay model). So, it's been a nice 2 weeks.

The Sandshark II's F&F is nicer than I thought it would be & it's the nicest tanto bladed knife I've ever had. It's said to be bead blast titanium, but it's not quite like the Sebenza's bead blast. It opens smoothly & with authority & "clunks" into lock. VERY nice. Only 2 things kind of bothered me (OK, I'm really picking at it now). I thought one of torque screws on each side of the scales is too close to the edge & I believe the pivot uses a nylon or something other than brass washers for the blade pivot (There's some "white stuff" sticking out around the blade). I don't know what that is, maybe someone can fill me in. I certainly don't know if it's a bad thing or not, but overall, the knife is VERY nice.

The Sandshard II is almost identical in size to the small classic Sebenza. Makes me kind of wish I had bought a large Sebbie. ;)

Anybody want to trade a LNIB small classic inlay Sebenza for a large one? :D

Congrats on the Sandshark II. I generally do not like tanto blades, but I did very much like the Sandshark II.

BTW, did you get the Sandshark yet & which model did you get, the I or II?

My trade was finalized (Wanted to make sure the other half was happy with the knife I sent him), & I've carried the knife some & played with it. It's the Sandshark II. I'm very happy with it & the 2 little complaints I had with it, weren't really a bother (Well, I don't know if the "white" pivot washers are going to be an issue or not). However, since the frame-lock is nearly flush with the frame cut-out, it's quite tough to unlock the blade. There's method I figured out, so maybe it's fine.

Overall, the knife is nice, fits in my pocket good & snug & doesn't take much room. This allows me to clip it in the same pocket as my keys & I can put my "hamhock" hands in my pocket with the knife clipped in it.

To give you an idea on how much I like it, I'm actually considering trading my small inlay Seb for a large one, since the Sandshark & small Seb are so close in size.

Well, I revived this thread hoping someone will chime in on their experiences with the knife.

Thanks...
