If I understand it correctly, the 960 model started as a limited edition prior to moving to regular production. I think this is one of the very first 960 Osborne offerings from Benchmade, back from 2002 or 2003. It has stainless steel handles and MOP inlay instead of the regular production aluminum w/ G10. Feels much more solid than the aluminum version. The good news is that it has never been used, carried, or sharpened, and it looks great:

The titanium backspacer looks purple from some angles and blue from others:

The bad news is that it comes with the wrong sleeve - off by 1 digit:

I'm not the original buyer, so I can only assume that it got switched at the dealer by mistake. This is a beautiful knife and would make a great EDC or collection addition for anyone. If you happen to have #290 and the box for #291, this would be absolutely perfect (or we can work out a trade). I got this planning to carry it, but I can't bring myself to put it in my pocket. I'll let someone else put the first mark on it. Asking $200 *SOLD*, which includes insured priority shipping in the US & any paypal fees. Money orders are fine if you don't want to use paypal, and I'm happy to ship internationally - we'll just have to discuss the cost & details beforehand.
Thanks for looking. Let me know if you have any questions.
