Did benchmade ever make an AFCK with carbon fiber scales?just curious it is my favorite folder and my favorite handle material i had just hoped that they came together at one point:D

I don't believe they have.

It would be nice though, and add an axis lock while we are at it.

I agree with the Shootist. A carbon fiber/axis lock AFCK (with the old style "Spydie" hole) would be pure heaven.

Gee ! sure wish I had the skills to just go and make a modified knife to meet my desires :) Hmmm, this sounds like a soon to be request in the Benchmade CS Department.

I was just looking at my TSEK (same handle as the AFCK) and it doesnt look like it would be hard to put on a CF handle, there is no taping of the g10, all you would have to do is cut out the shape using the old handle as the stencil and then drill the holes, i am considering trying to make a blue g10 handle for my tsek

Someone could probably do very well for themselves making aftermarket scales for popular knives and just shipping the scales out for user replacement. I'm not sure whether or not I'd buy them, but I know a lot of people would jump on it.

There may just be a full carbon fiber axis lock in
the works, with an M2 blade, any suggestions
on size or color?

I don't know if they still do it; but at one time Northwest Cutlery sold CF handles for the (damn; can't remember the model #) Elischiewetz (don't spell well either) with the blue Ti liners. If there was enough demand they might do this for other models?? Something to check into I guess.

Still in it's rough stages but I figured I would let you take a peek at it so far.;)

folderVSfixed it looks great! i am impressed!

the carbon fiber had to be tapped? when i looked at it i thgought that the G10 just had a counter sink and that the back spacer and the linners had all the tapping, but i havent taken mine apart, how hard was it?

Yep, the face side is countersunk, but on the clip side as you can see (barely) from the picture that the liner holes are to big for the screws to be attached. Now if you notice the clipside handle grip you will see that the holes are the ones the screws attach to.
