What is the cheapest place online to but Benchmade knives?

Also why don't any of my posts get a response?

I have no idea why none of your posts get a response, but don't be discouraged, sometimes it takes awhile for a persons posts to start being answered. Just hang in there, ask good questions and members will respond. It is a great group here and they like to help when they can.

I would try 1SKS and see what their prices are like. You will also be supporting Bladeforums by purchasing from 1 Stop Knife Shop.

I, too would recommend 1SKS. I believe they must, by contract, post BM's suggested prices, but if you find a better price somewhere else, I think they'd be happy to stay competitive and match/beat the price. Also check in the For Sale forums. BM comes up all the time over there, usually for much less than retail.

Also something that might be of interest to you is the fact that Benchmade have a policy that states that you must not advertise their knives for under the retail price. You can sell them for less, but you can not advertise them for less. As far as I know, that means that they will not supply on-line knife stores with product. The on-line knife stores must therefore get Benchmade knives from distributors. This means a higher cost and a longer waiting period.

The above is my take on the situation and I may be wrong. If I am and someone knows where I am mistaken, please post that info. I would be interested in knowing if I am passing on wrong information.

I have found that it is often better to search the online dealers for the particular knife you want. I was able to get my 910 HS for $110 out the door from one site. However the same site was more expensive than other sites on other models.

I build a rapport with my on-line guy, support him with lots of repeat business, tell my friends, and haggle, haggle, haggle! If that doesn't work, I buy two for a discount and sell one to a friend. I got a 14 dollar discount last week, and I didn't even ask for it!

Ditto for 1 Stop! They do have good prices & stand behind the stuff they sell. This outfit, through their forums, has provided us with a wealth of information. They really do deserve your support.

KWM,
You are correct in that most of the mfgs and the
wholesalers do print everything with retail prices.
This allows online and other dealers by their pricing
to show their customer the value of doing business
with them as opposed to the other vendors.

I highly recomend American Heritage Sports. These folks are excellent and have top notch customer service. Don't forget to check out the 730 CFHS on their web page. I got mine from there. It's an awesome knife.

I've found my best prices for everything here:

http://www.bestknives.com/

The selection is not always what I would want but for general purposes, good prices, always in stock, and good customer service; I have never been disappointed.

CAll Jed at Outdoor America store. I believe the website is:

www.outdooramericastore.com

He has given me the best prices around. $5-10 cheaper than everyone elses lowest. Now they are probably not listed on the website as the lowest, but you have to call. Ask him what is the best you can do and if you have another low price tell him what and where.

1SKS is great... but because of being BM dealers they have to post extortionist prices.
The answer is Bayou LaFourche Knife Works (www.knifeworks.com), these guys have some great service and the best prices on BMs I have ever seen... you can either do business with them directly... or stab em in the back and use their price on 1SKS to get the same knife for the same price from our dear Sparkles :)
Your call.
