Does anyone have one/use one of these? How good are they? Are they very difficult to sharpen?

I havent sharpened mine, but it's pretty cool. I call it the zipper maker. Whatever you put it on, it opens...clothes and aluminum cans included.

If you can get a deal on it, it's not a bad thing.

Hi All-

Currently using two of them. One is secured to the rearview mirror of my car while another rides in a perfectly-sized pocket in my motorcycle leathers.

To preserve the cutting edge in case I encounter a vehicle accident in my travels, they are never used...I want them to zip through a seatbelt like a hot blade through butter. The use of the Rescue Hook is very self-explanatory should you decide to purchase one. This is in addition to the well-maintained folder I keep on my person and the Busse Steel Heart in the trunk of my car...which would handle bigger cutting or prying duties as needed.

My only other is advice is to NOT use the silly bottle-opener feature. Your fingers are so close to the razor-sharp edge that it would only be a matter of time before cutting yourself open to the bone.

Got one for cutting rope and plastic banding at work, did it great. Also works well for cutting sheets of material.

Tried sharpening mine, soon just gonna send it in for benchmade to sharpen again.

I carry one on my belt every day. It's for emergency use only. I have a knife for general tasks, so I doubt it will ever need sharpening in my lifetime, but if it does I'll just use the Benchmade lifesharp service and call it good.
