ALRIGHT...i just bought 2 jaguars....now the price jump to a benchmade is very great....i have never really used one.....what makes the high price worth it????.....and i have also been seeing those clips on the latch handle....are they handy...what's the deal????? thanks guys

Sorry, loaded question. But here's the short answers:

1) Yes they're worth it.
2) Been making very good bali's since the late 70's, and is responsible for the bali craze it is today.
3) Made all those nice bali's in the "Blade Profile" thread.
4) High price is mostly for material cost (titanium handles, torx screws).
5) Much sturdier than Jags.
6) Clip is new, so no one has much experience (except for Chefget).

i kinda figured they are made with better material....my last one(a cheapie) damn well broke on me when i hit my brother in the leg with it....the handle freakin broke in half....my mouth dropped and i stood there almost in tears....thinkin...what the hell am i gonna do know......so it is way worth it to spend the money on benchmade next time????....the only thing is...it's around 1:30 for you americans...that's about 8000000 for us canadians..... you see my dilemma....

That comes out to about $136.87. What's the problem?

You do get what you paid for with the BM's.

something that is 100 dollars us.....is 160 dollars canadian..... and we don't make much more than you do...your dollar is worth a hell of alot more then ours...... the exchange sucks balls

Its WELL worth the money, you should hear it click when you do tricks with it, wow :)

The exchange rate isn't too much to worry about, the big worry is getting it past customs. Balisongs are frowned upon here (illegal), and while getting a cheap bali confiscated is no big deal, having customs take away a nice Benchmade would likely land me in anger management and counselling therapy sessions for a while. :) Yes, you can get them past customs, but that's yet another thing to think about. I personally can't spend $150 knowing that there's a 5-10% chance (pulling numbers outta my head based on my friend's customs stories) that the knife will never show up.

EXACTLY....SPEAK THE TRUTH MY BROTHA.....i would have to go to the states and smuggle it across....where you at?????

I hear Zilla guarantees. It's more expensive there right off the bat.. but it will arrive.

i e-mailed "JOSH" and he was super helpful...he was super nice and told me that my credit card didn't work at first...he then tried it later and it went through and that it was on it's way awhile ago...so i should be getting it soon....thanks everyone....

You'll immediately appreciate the difference Contender.., and Josh will always figure out a way to get "the goods" to you. Sometimes not "speedy".., but he gets very busy during certain periods of the year. Enjoy it.., a world of difference from a Jag.

Ive now ordered 3 times from Josh and its been 100% all the way and look where I live ;)

That's what's annoying about it :D
It's not like you are getting the grammar all wrong, the cause of your posts being illegible is laziness, when you expect effort on the part of knowledgeable people to help you (no i'm not knowledgeable.)
I do see it as frustrating though.
