Bent Machete?

I just received a new Camillus Becker Patrol Machete. Looking down the spine I notice that the blade is bent/warped slightly toward the tip. If the blade is set on a flat surface there is a slight amount of daylight when it is set on one side vs. the other. Is this normal for a machete of this length and price point? It is not a big deal, but I am interested in confirming that this is normal before I make her mine (6 mos. honeymoon in Peru). Thanks.

I am leaving in a week and may not have time to trade it out. I know a lot of you out there have the BK&T BPM. Anyone else care to share if they have a similar problem? Thanks.

Sorry that you didn't get many replies yet. I hope it isn't warped badly enough to really have an impact on usage. I hope you have a great time in Peru! Send back some good knife reviews:D

I would email Will Fennell (this is the email address from his profile: wfennell@rjsonline.net), or post your problem in the Camillus forum here on Bladeforums. This will probably get you a quicker and more useful response.
