best bayonet?

When I was in the Army (infantry) a
million years ago, they were switching from the M-8A1 to the M-9
( a little more sturdy ; with saw teeth, wire cutting attachment &
could withstand high voltage if one came across a "hot" wire ;)) I myself prefer the AK-47 bayonet with it's "chisel" grind & basically the same features as the M-9. Here's a coupla links to help you in your search ( good prices, too!)

Army/Navy stores also have bayonets
from time to time, as well as some gunstores.

AET ;)

Best for what?
maybe one of those?

And BTW, a bayonet is made to be fixed at the muzzle of a rifle,
so IMO it depends a lot about the rifle. ;)
