I have been around this forum a bit, I read a lot of stuff, I know I will get as many replies as there members, but here goes, I am getting back into throwing after about twenty years, I am looking for a set of three knives (maybe two sets), I have read about Hibben, CS, SOG, Branton and have researched many other brands, what is the best value in a (re)beginner throwing knife?

best value, now that is a bit tricky. I was thinking of CS knives all the way till the last quarter of it that got me confused.

I assumed from the way you ask is that you are going to throw outdoors where the possibility of it getting lost is higher?

Throwing knives of higher value does't mean that they just have higher value and same performance as the cheapies. Some good throwing knives can actually outlast a few cheapies and you might actually be saving money from them! (thats what i heard. although i am yet to break my united cutlery set)

Others with more experience than i am will be here to advice you

Get some CS they are going to get banged up anyway .

When you get a few thousand throws under your belt and maybe throw a few buddies knives you can make an educated choice .
