Rob Roy. I can't believe I hadn't seen this movie earlier as it was GREAT but the best part of the movie is the sword fight at the end and the way the bad guy is dispatched. One of the greatest kills I've scene in a sword/knife fight. Maybe not the most graphic but one of those that makes you say "holy ___". Let's hear your favorites.

one dome lopped off every week...i did love that show...

Good show. The first Highlander was the best though. Fantastic sword fights. I like movies like Braveheart and 300, but with Highlander you got one on one swordplay which is much more fun to watch IMHO. Also the Kurgan was badass!

KILL BILL.

The 13th warrior.some sweet hack'n'slash in that one.One guy had his head torn off by hand.
Hannibal."guts in or guts out...Hm? Can't decide...well,I'll decide for you"

I remember Rob Roy; my wife & I cheered when Tim Roth got sliced in the end.

Hannibal Rising - I still think the scene with Hannibal Lecter (Gaspard Ulliel) dispatching the butcher was done pretty well; not a lot of blood, but still unsettling to watch.

Also the Kurgan was badass!

The Kurgan was/is one of my all-time favorite bad guys; hard to believe that he (Clancy Brown) is the voice of Mr. Krabs on Spongebob Squarepants.

Oh man that was a good scene. What a beautiful samurai sword. It's one of those scenes that you remember as being way more gruesome than it actually is.

When I read the title I thought two movies. Highlander and Rob Roy, but I was way too slow. Seems everyone had the same idea.

I don't particularly get my jollies from looking at wounds. I enjoy the knives and swords themselves, as well as the choreography of any action scenes, but as far as the gore goes I could care less.

But I did like the 2003 adaptation of Zatoichi. I think as far as how a movie handles the actual bleeding and wounding that was one of the best.

Zatoichi with Beat Takeshi reprising the role. Probably the most 'realistic" as any movie can get. He really handled his sword strokes well, lots of focus and strong enough to believably cut through his opponents.

The fighting scenes in Rob Roy were great because it truly reproduced different styles of sword fighting. The Highlanders and their tiring slashing v. a well trained fencer and economies of motion.

Also like the battle scenes in Braveheart, pretty much what I'd imagine a brutal clash of arms to be like in the 1200-1300s. Brutal and bloody.
