Best place to sell.

Welcome to Bladeforums...
Become a gold member and sell them here on the Exchange.

I have a few numbered Spydercos and owned a bunch in the past. I used to think they were worth something extra but they are not. Treat them as you would any Spyderco. The number doesn't seem to increase the value at all from what i can tell.

As for becomming a Gold member just to sell knives. It probably isn't worth it. I was a gold member for a long time and I just let me membership lapse. You have to basically give knives away for anyone to buy them on this site for some reason. Might as well just sell them on E-bay. You get top dollar there.

Don't mind kgriggs. He's just a local curmudgeon. :D

Welcome to Bladeforums! Buy a Gold membership and you'll do just fine here. It's a one time fee that lasts for one year and you can sell all you want with no fees each time like you'll have to pay on ebay.

The best part though is all the good information that can be gleaned here and general comraderie of the site.

regarding Gold Membership Kriggs gives bad advice but that is to be expected from a from a person who is basically clueless. I have sold thousands of dollars of knives on this forum and a gold membership is worth it.

I would agree that numbered production knives are basic knives with a number on them. I too have sold many BM productions and Pre productions but the prices I got were about the same as unnumbered knives.

Just like I said. Now pipe down.

Get a gold membership, support this fine place to talk about knives, and the for sale forums are a great place to sell knives. You're also a little less likely to run into a flake here than ebay (with a very few exceptions ;)).

its the paying members that keep this place going along with donations. go ahead and get a gold membership and give it a go. if you are nice to your customers and treat them right you will do good. as for kgriggs, he rarely makes a post that isnt rude which you will see for yourself soon enough.

I sell knives here and on e-bay. There are two major differences to my mind.

First, there are no listing fees or final value fees or fees of any kind to sell here, besides the $25 per year that it costs to become a gold member. Therefore, if I sell a knife for $90 here it's about the same as selling it for $100 on e-bay, in terms of my net return.

Second, the buyers here are sophisticated in the extreme, so you won't have much success on the exchange unless you are selling quality knives at a fair price. If you are looking to sell Spydercos, and you are selling them at fair market value you should have no problem at all.

C'mon, dive in -- the water's fine!

And regardless, welcome to BladeForums.

Get a Gold membership or higher and support this great site!! I have sold many knives here with great success.

I'm with the other gold/platinum members. Paying for your membership keeps this site up and running. This site is a resource for alot more than just selling.
