Chatting with a buddy, he voted Endura, my vote goes for the Military, best value ratio.

There are so many and I have'nt handled all of them,But so far I have to say Military then Calypso.I have'nt got my BF Native yet so my vote is pending.

Wegner full size. The most versatile of all my liner locks. The prices have dropped a bit recently, a plus.

Hey Fish, how ya doin?

I vote new Military plain edge also...although I sure do like that full size Wegner and the Endura 98...

Civilian.

For any other job, you could buy another company's knife that would do the job, albeit not as well.

For the Civilian's job, there is no other choice.

No doubt the Military. Though the Wegner models run a very close second in my book.

Out of my personal collection, my favorite folder is:
1. Military
2. Viele
3. Jot Sing Khalasa
4. Worker (actually my son's)

remember that knives are about steel. therefore, the Military would be my top choice. certainly the Wegner, Viele, & Khalsa have to be considered one amongst my favorites. best cut for the buck...Delica.

The Civilian - it is a pretty unique knife.

Best is so relative and there are so many good Spydercos. Ain't it great!

This is really a tough one! The lsit would be long and not in particularly any specific order:

Military
Wegner
Jess Horn
Jot Singh Kalsa
Calypso
Endura
Police
Rookie
Worker
Civilian

I don't know-they are all the best?

Well I just bought my sencond Military this month alone so I think I have to go with it!
My first one (CPM440) broke and I had to send it back, they told me it would go out on Moday!! Cant wait to get it back. My new one has all the new fetures only it has the ATS34 blade...(couldnt pass it up for 82 dollars) I'll use this one at work and keep the other one nice. My other favorite would be the Native or Endura.
And by the way, Thank You Spyderco CS for my pack I got in the mail Fri. Cool little pin!

Hard choice, but I still have to say for me the Delica '98 in either plain or full serrated, and number two is the plainedge Micarta Calypso Jr.
The only larger Spydies I own are an Endura '98 and an older Aus-8 50/50 version.

Let me put my humble opinion as follows:

1. Best blade steel: CPM440V
2. Best blade shape: Calypso
3. Best handle material: G10
4. Best handle shape: Calypso
5. Best locking mechanism: Roling Lock
6. Best price/size ratio: Endura 98

Conclusion: G10 Calypso with 440V and RL for around $40! (Admit it. You'll buy one right away, if we had one of these.)

(I believe that there will be a general consensus on 1, 3, 5, and 6. 2 and 4 are quite debatable, however.)

Hi Keith!

You bought a new style military with an ATS-34 blade? I haven' heard that such a knife exists. Where did you get it from?

For camping, without a doubt, the full sized Wegner.
For daily carry I like the delica or dragonfly.
