EBAY has some khukuri's for sale that are being passed off as H.I. khukuri's. They are not and you won't get the same quality or guaranty. I guess thats why they are trying to pass them off as Himalayan Imports khukuri's. So, if it came from EBAY, or anyone else but the source,Himalayan Imports, it's probably not the real thing.

Again, Beware. This forum gets new posts so fast this one will be down on the list in an hour.

Cobalt. Repost this in the new forum I just made in the Knife Exchange forum. Thanks!

I will mention here, that Bill Martino has made dealer sales to at least one person, ME. These carry the full HI warranty and quality standard.

I don't sell on EBAY either.

Hi Sid:

And you are the only person who has made dealer purchases from us -- the ONLY one!
And every khukuri you have is marked with our HI logo and has a scrolled buttcap. And, they all carry our lifetime unconditional guarantee!

Bill

It would not bother me in the least if someone said they were selling a Himalayan Imports khukuri--this happens all the time. What is teribly bothersome, however, if for them to say the seller is Himalayan Imports!
To me, this is plain down and dirty fraud.

Bill

This situation with Ebay and the H.I. kukris is horrible. Unfortunately, I'm not suprised. I've done two knife transactions on Ebay and found in both cases what I bought was not what I thought I was getting. I was very disappointed both times. I'll not be buying anything from there any time soon.
