Folks -- it just hit me: not only are we addicted to knives but a number of us are addicted to BladeForums!

Care to confess?

I can quit anytime I want to. I just don't want to! No,really! I can! What, you don't believe me? Who are you to judge me, huh?

This must be Egypt, cause I'm in Denial!

I cut it, and I cut it, and it's STILL too short!

Just because I have my home page set to here does not mean that I am a Bladeforums addict....nor does the multitude of longwinded posts that I have posted....nor the several hours a week I spend here.....or the fact that I correspond with other forumites.....hmmmmm....

There are much worse things to be addicted to....and I do not think that it is a true addiction if it is beneficial......Bladeforums is beneficial to one's well being...(it might be a little detrimental to the pocket book...but buying knives outweighs that in my book)...

Ya I came in to the Benchmade forum a couple years ago to defend myself and one of my customers and look where it got me

I don't think you all are addicted to Blade Forums, 'cause I am and I never see you guys at the BF 12 step meetings.

Nah, not me...here I am, tomorrow is Memorial Day, everyone's got something planned, yet here i sit at the BF again.
I'm not addicted. I could quit, but I'm teaching myself to overcome the possibility of addiction by over-partaking in the forums to prove to myself I really can quit anytime. I could! Really! I think...

No I can't

Here I am again...for the third time today...you never know when that hot buy is gonna be posted and I might miss out on that perfect knife I have been looking for!!!
smile.gif
Look at the time of our posts and that will tell a story...

I know I can quit from logging on to BF; like quitting on smoking addiction, I've done it a hundred times!
wink.gif

Oh jeez...it started with the rec.knives newsgroup, to the Benchmade forum, to the old recdotknives forum, to Knife forums to Blade forums...what addictiction?
wink.gif

P.S... what's even more funny is that EVERY person who has posted to this topic, so far, is a "Senior Member"...yes, I have no life, since October 3, 1998, when I registered here!!!

I admit I am powerless over sharp pointy objects and all that relates to them. One knife at a time.
Bob

I'm not addicted
wink.gif
, I can quit...for 2 days even, seriously. Its BF or drugs, not really, but doesn't that make BF sound like the better alternative?

I guess that would make me an enabler (or is that a pusher) since its my fault that the forums have headed in this direction....

Whoda thunkit?

I love this Place!!

I find BFC to be the place to be, specially when you know for a fact that us knife-knuts are a rare breed.

Don't think so?
smile.gif

Try playing around with a knife in front of a couple of people, and see how many would appreciate the beauty of this tool..
smile.gif
and how many would run away, thinking you're a whacko or something..
smile.gif

In here though, its a different matter altogether. We all share a common denominator, so to speak.
smile.gif

Addicted? Moi?? Are you kidding?! I can very well NOT visit BFC for 30 minutes, and not have the shakes!!! LOL!!!
smile.gif
If it goes down to 29 minutes in-between sessions, I might have to go and see a psychotherapist.

Say NO to Drugs! Say YES to Knives!

Dan

PS. Yes Spark, we all have you and Mike to thank for... for being the PUSHERS... hahahaha!!
smile.gif

You want an addiction story? Here's one. I left school on the 15th. My computer was the last thing I packed up--at 2:00 in the morning. Now, not two weeks later, I come to visit my fiancee, find that her family now has web access, and guess what I'm doing?
smile.gif

Can't wait to get to the BLADE show and still the demons for awhile. Seeya there . . . .

LOL...
smile.gif
Gwinny, I for one sure wouldn't wanna be in your shoes that time..
smile.gif
hehehehe...

I wonder what your fiancee is thinking that time.

We lost power earlies today. When I realized that I couldn't log on, I started to twitch. That's normal right? Tell me it's normal.
