Here's another one just for kicks.
This is BG-42 heat-treated by Paul Bos. I have been very impressed with BG-42 in all characteristics. It is a very nice blend of qualities between forged simple alloy and some of the stand-by stock removal steels (IMHO).
Hollow ground on an 8" wheel, the radius of the plunge cuts sweeps in line with the radius on the front bolsters. Dovetailed front and rear bolsters in 416 done via Don Cowles tutorial...saved a lot of frustration over my old method...THANKS Don!
Curly Koa from our own Mr. Tom Mayo!
Everything satin finished as always.
Bow-tie fileworked into tapered tang (kinda went with the handle shape).
Thanks
Nick
