BG-42 in large blades

would BG-42 make a good large blade, say an 8" bowie type?

Hey Frank, how's it going ? I don't have an answer to your question, but if you start making knives with BG-42, you can put me on your list for one. Hope it happens, you make some great knives.Please give me a shout via E-mail when you catch some free time.

I have used BG-42 for larger blades, but now that we have S30V I dont use it anymore... Thats just me though... I like it cause its tough as A2, but stainless...

i still use it for 8-9 inch blades and it works great. its a bit easier for the customer to sharpen if there a do it their self type.i also lots easier to finish than the S30v. both have there place!
