ok, so i have big hands and am looking for something slim, also left handed. i work at a brewery and am always cutting grain bags and packages open. i have few knives but haven't found the perfect one yet. i have a blur, which kind of sucks because i had to take off the clip and just pocket carry it. also have a westin, which i like because it goes lefty and is deep carry and slim. the blur and westin do fit my hands, almost perfect, but i find myself wanting something a bit higher quality in terms of steel. but other knives like the cryo are too short. probably willing to spend a bit over $100. suggestions? also i cant really stand the look of the para military 2.

I personally think the Spyderco Endura is my favorite "big knife" platform. They carry extremely small considering how big they are. You can find them brand new for $60

Spyderco Manix 2 or Manix 2 XL if the regular is too small.
Basically any large Benchmade (I like the Griptilian, but the Crooked River is pretty sweet also)

The Manix 2 sounds like the perfect knife for you. One of the best knives Spyderco makes, in my opinion of course.

Cold Steel: American Lawman, Recon 1 or Code 4 (in either S35vn or XHP)
Benchmade: Bugout
Spyderco: Endura in ZDP-189

These should all be in your price range. Since you are cutting grain bags, I would also consider an Endura in fully serrated.

There's also a Manix XL if you like the knife but need a bigger handle. Also, Cold Steel should offer some folders within your size/price specs.

I can think of other large lefties but they're going to exceed the $100 requirement by a good bit.

Another vote for the Manix2 and Manix2 XL. Great knives. They're a little wide but nice and flat. My Manix2's carry great in my pocket.

Slim, plenty of handle real estate, reversible clip, the 940 always gets my vote. Benchmade sent me a deep carry clip on request, gratis. Keep your eyes open and they regularly pop up on the exchange like new for $140-ish. Spend a little more, you know you want to. Buy once cry once... I've never regretted the decision to buy mine even though at the time it was my most expensive folder. Come to think of it, it still is!

Cold Steel Recon 1
Cold Steel Ultimate Hunter
Buck Marksman (note there's a new model out on Knifecenter with s90v steel, and also the company SKBlades sells a custom version with s35vn steel)

I feel where you are coming from. XL hands and left-handed. My go to is the Spyderco Native 5 in FRN. For a mid-sized folder it fits great in the hand. The S35VN is a good all around steel. Good luck with your decision.

Edit: nevermind, I didn't initially see the price req. I was suggesting a CRK Large 21 lefty.

Lefty with lg hands here but not catchers mitt size. The good news is we have lots of good choices.

I like the bench made Griptillians even a mini grip. A lot of Benchmades work well for a lefty.

I also have the Manix2 in S90v very close to perfect size for me, functions perfect. I can see where some might think the blade is too broad.....

I have a Griptillian actually. Fits fine but mine has the atw scales. Actually kind of love it, but hated it at first, so I wasn’t considering it an option, but It’s growing on me. The atw scales felt sharp and horrible at first but once I broke it in it’s pretty sweet. Also started edcing a Kershaw link and it actually fits in my hands just enough. Started to realize that my fingers are long but my palms aren’t actually super wide.

I can relate to you not liking the look of Spyderco knives. I thought the same thing until I tried one and realized how well they cut.
I would recommend giving a Lefty Military a try. The Military is a big knife but carries like a much smaller knife, due to it's light weight and thin profile. If you hate it after a week or two, you can always sell it and get a decent chunk of your money back.
If you can't bring yourself to give Spyderco a try, my second recommendation would be the Knifeworks exclusive Benchmade large Griptilian with m390 and g10.

Pm2 seems way too big at a glance. Have 2 okc rat 1’s and the length just bothers me. Considered grabbing a spiderco tenacious but may be too small. But i definitely want a sipderco in my collection. I’ve never even held one

The Endura has already been mentioned, but when you described use, the Waved Endura is what came to my mind. Probably one of the most versatile ambi knife I know of. With multiple one handed opening options. And can be closed one handed also with a little practice.

Spyders were definitely an acquired taste for me. There were so many more attractive knives to me. But most of the Spyders that I own are truly utilitarian in form and function. The GB2 is also very comfortable in large hands. But not as easy to open and close.

I already posted above, but seriously, give the Buck Marksman a look. As a long-time knife user and lefty, I've been through a lot of the options available for lefties, and there are few options I've liked better than the Marksman. It's not for everybody, but for me it's grown into probably my favorite ambi lock mechanism. Super strong, can close one-handed, and your fingers never have to be in the path of the blade.

If I were getting a new Marksman today, I'd look seriously at this bad boy in S90v that they just came out with:
