I think you're right DOW. Y'all is a contraction for "you all", so the apostrophe should precede the "all".

I think the dirty little secret is that alot of us "Yankees" wish we were southerners.
At least amongst the crew I roll with. The PC crowd is outta control up here. Even the mention of the word "gun" gets alot of people nervous around here.

I'm with you. Over here in Western Virginia (we just call it West Virginia...yeah, we got our own state with a government and everything) we would go with yall. The education here sucks and we tend to view punctuation as a niceity we don't really have time for.
