Well, my scandi bushmaster is due here early October, just in time for MY camping season (ie: cold and filled with trout!)

I just felt the need to post a huge thank you to John. Ever since I heard about and fell in love with his knifes I must have changed my mind a million times since I sent him my order. Handle color/type, number of pins, thickness of steel, hell I think I change the actual knife 2 times!

But through it all John has never once blown me off or left a question unanswered. He answers everything just how I want it too, from a function and then visual standpoint. Let me tell ya John, you have a lifetime customer here. I already have plans for a Lobo and something a bit smaller after I take out the Bushmaster.

Thanks again John, if theres anything I can ever do in return please ask.

Wow, I thought I was the only one that John was ready to strangle. I currently have two knives ordered for September. I have changed the larger of the two knives 6 times! No I am not exagerating! I have changed the grind. I have changed the length, I have changed the blade shape from 1, to go another, to another, to thinking about another, to the same one which wasn't the first design! Then after not e-mailing John for a few days because I have finally gotten to exactly what I want on the larger knife, I have to e-mail him and change the smaller knife, let's make it this design, but this other design's length, but this kind of grind! WOW WOW WOW, I can't believe he has not only been patient, but he has actually appeared excited for me about the knives coming! John, thanks for being you! Great knives and an even better knife maker!

Thanks, guys! I have no problem with changes, that`s one of the reasons I always check before I order materials for the month, and check again right before I am ready to start on it. I have actually lost an order for doing this, the customer said that I was pestering him, just make the knife! I make a point of coming in from the shop every hour to check my emails in case there is a question that I need to answer, to me it`s all part of being a knifemaker, and making the customer exactly what he wants.

Your fine with changing the length too? Well sorry John, Danc there just made me change my order AGAIN. Can you add an inch to the bushmaster? Email me when you get a chance haha!

Sounds like a bit of a jerk, there. One of the reasons I get my blades from you, and have you make my self-designed stuff, is the personal touch.
When I obtain one of your pieces, I feel I know the guy who made the blade a bit, and he knows me. I am not just another guy who sent a few clams his way.

You feel lilke you're carrying a knife made by a friend! By the way, NO changes on the order today!

some people just can't make up their minds!

dunno, i guess i'm just one of these that sorts it all out before actually ordering.

but then i'm used to providing sketches to clients for them to choose a direction, then turning sketches into proofs, revising things based on the proofs several times and then only moving forward after i get a signed and approved proof.

that doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with changing your mind... but in some cases i've heard of clients asking for changes only to be told their work is finished already. :D
