I finally purchased a Ruple stockman. It certainly is a turn around from the knives I usually carry and use (tactical folders, japanese-style knives). Fit and finish is superb, especially the springs and back spacer. I particularly like the coping blade. I have used the knife to de bark a tree branch (I carve walking sticks in my spare time) and the hand rubbed finish really holds up and shows no marring. the blade steel is ATS-34, it has a 3" clip main blade and a spey, in addition to the coping blade. handle material is dark jigged bone. The bolsters are integral and the polished. Speaking of the springs, boy are they thick! Overall, I am very pleased with it.

You made a good choice, Bill makes a fine
knife, & he's a great guy. I've spent some
time with him several different times & he's
fun to be around. Hope you enjoy that knife.

Well you made may day Doc. A few hours ago I had Karen at AZCK send out my mini-stag-handled-trapper. It will be here Wedensday. Because I also carry a large wood inlayed sebenza, I apt for a small multi-bladed folder. I took me a while to decide what to get. I wasn't very familier with the various makers and which were making the better products. I've heard of course of names like Shadley and Bose, but to be able to find their knives and then afford one are two different things. I saw the postings on AZCK's website and pondered which to get. I was eyeing the mini-trapper with stag handle for a couple days; then saw just how fast all the others were disappearing and when ahead and ordered. I'm glad of my decission. I can't wait. Because of your discription of your trapper I'm sure it will be a great little knife.

It sure is nice having a few fellow trad. multi. collectors around here. I was feeling lonely until nifrad came along. I found myself smiling at additions to your collections when I read the posts.
Congratulations!

Now, where are the pictures?

Hey fellow forumites,

My feelings regarding my knife is that it is something that I can really use. Geez, the springs are really thick! (Of course I can only compare it to my "lowly" Case sowbelly, which I also like very much. But there is something special about a handmade multiblade. K-Guy, you will love your Trapper. The dealer I got my stockman from had a few and they were awesome; same thick springs, a nice hand-rubbed finish, and the stag skales were really nice. This is coming from someone who used to only take interest in G-10, Ti, and chisel grinds (not that there isn't anything wrong with them). Mr. Dushane makes some awesome knives too. Now I need to get a half whittler. Also, I've taking a liking to the coping-style blade.

Mr Dushane. It slipped past me that you posted a reply on this forum. I have seen many of your multi-bladed folders, and they are incredible to say the least. Your vine pattern filework is nothing short of amazing! I would really like to look at a brochure if you put one out or if you might have a website. If you would be so kind to email me with any info you might have on your knives, that would be great! Thanks

K-guy, Thank you for being so nice about my work. I'm really trying hard to make a nice knife & am set back when I get around the big boy's. They are always giving me something to shoot for. My web site is http://www.lx.net/dushane and my email is ddushane@powr.net send me your mailing address & I'll get a brochure out to you. Thanks again, Dwayne
