Replacing a half black lab half German shepherd bitch who had to be euthanized this summer for hip problems is this quarter lab, quarter malamute, quarter pit bull, and quarter Rottweiler.

Her name is Penny an she is a feisty sweetheart.

As bad as I hate it, I have to put a Shepherd down soon due to hip problems.

My wife was walking down the street for exercise last year with our two kids and our shepherd Sammie......she was about 6 mths old...anyway we live way out of town in the middle of nowhere so we did not leash her on our walks......short story long a teenager came flying by and she jumped in between the the kids and the car.....They called me home from work and i rushed her to the vet and they had to put her down....My oldest was with me but my then 3 year old kept asking where sammie was....so i did what any father would do....I hit the internet and found a match......We are now the proud owners of a beautiful GSD named yep you guest it Sammie and the now 4 year old still does not know the difference......Drew

I have hip problems and I sure as hell am NOT going down without a fight. I pop mobic and glucosamine like an old fart and I still climb like a goat on crack. I need my own pooch to keep me motivated to put the miles on as the pain gets worse though, when I have my own place I'll get a wolf pup and it will be a bitch as well. I live in the same house as 2 25 pound dogs, both females, both affectionate as all get out yet extremely aggressive and protective. That is one of the weirdest combinations I have ever heard of but she's a beaut already.

beautiful pup!! look at the feet on that girl! she is going to be quite the joyous handfull!

Jeff, very sorry to hear that. Just remember that mercy is our greatest gift to our beloved companions when the time comes. It takes all out love and courage and they count on us for it.

It's tough putting down part of your family that's been with you 13 years, but it has to be done. Speaking of "mercy", I was just listening to the song "Mercy Now" by Mary Gauthier. Great song, great artist. If you've never heard it, well you're missing something!

Jeff, In the next few months we will be breeding our gsd one time for one litter before we have her fixed...Pups will all be given away free to good homes but the one we keep....If you are interested and ready for another pup I let you know when they arrive.....Drew

I'll go anywhere for a good dog. I won't hardly go off my porch for a decent woman though :D

I'm interested! Where are you located?

se texas between beaumont and houston. She should be going in heat within a month or two. we are going to keep one female so she has a companion. and the rest will go to good home....Then we will have her fixed...It is amazing how far away dogs wolves and yotes will travel from when one of my dogs goes in heat.....When the litter arrives I will let ya know. I will post some pics of her tomorrow on this thread.

I'd like a male if possible. Female shepherds are too hyper for me. Smarter, but hyper.
