just got this in the mail today and oh boy is it sweet. i love the weight and the demensions. it's got a great feel and i love the blade shape. it's razor sharp right out of the box. i was so excited i went out behind the store and chopped down a small tree. this knife is sweet. i'm proud to have it in my collection.

sidenote: anyone know anyone who makes custom handles? i'd like to upgrade the grips on this badboy.
 
It seems like a great design, and I've liked my Campanion. I'll have to check out the "7" more seriously now. How's the sheath?
 
The BK7 is an excellent knife, with just the right size and "feel", but (to me, at least), the sheath sucks...Of the 3 BK7 knives that I've owned, none of the kydex-lined/nylon sheaths fit the knife very well (too loose). I'd rather see all the BK knives offered with a Kydex sheath (at least as an option), like as in the Campanion, or better yet, a kydex/concealex sheath like those made by Eric at On/Scene Tactical or Blade-Tech, that come with a Tek-Lok.

Oh, and it would be NICE if Camillus would offer thinner (and "textured") grips made out of G-10 or even a FRN material.
 
I'm sure your needs are different to mine Glockman coz I find the BK7 sheath perfect. With a diamond steel, bic lighter and SAK rucksak throen in the pouch it's a kind of one-grab bush kit for me. I keep it in the pack until I need it them take it out and thread it on the packs belt when I need some chopping power (thorn thickets). I don't hunt or get tactical on anybody so the noise isn't an issue with me.
 
I bought my CU-7 about 2 years ago now. The first thing I did was reinforce the stitching on the sheath. Then I sent the knife out and got a custom kydex survival sheath made by Scott Hendryx. It's a great camping knife and handy to have around.

I'm more into custom knives and the CU-7 is the only production fixed blade I own. When I don't feel like carrying a really expensive knife, I grab the Becker and together with the Hendryx sheth I know I have a nice, reliable package.
