First off, thanks guys for all the help with this topic.

After seeing how great the knives look after etching, I wanted to etch my BK2 and got great feedback so I decided to dive into it. I started by removing the black coat with Citristrip paint stripper. After letting it sit for about 30 minutes in the Citristrip, I removed it and cleaned it off. I sort of wound up with the look I was looking for! A subtle but antique kind of look.
