Blade Etch,?

Ive got a large colection of 87-91 Winchester knives with the etch on the master blades.
On a few, the etch is very faint from previous cleaning etc. Is there anything I can do to darken the etch?

If the etching is deep enough,you can rub a black sharpie marker over them,let it dry,the use a non marring tool,like a sharp piece of micarta or hardwood as a scraper,and scrape it off.It will stay in the low etching.Hope this helps.
