I've been thinking of buying this knife lately, but I don't know it's worth.Could somebody tell me what model it is and what it's worth is?

These are the descriptions the seller gave me on the knife, and i'm just wondering if their true.....
"This was a prototype that I have never seen before. It has no scratches, never been resharpened (It is in new condition) and no latch damage (other than a small spot where the tip has touched it but no damage). The length is 3 3/8ths long. This was puechased from a employee who does design and direct work on the knives. He has sold me prototypes being developed before."
"It's a original one of only a few and the only one available to Benchmade
employees (I bought it from one). It has stainless handles (on titanium is
available to the public) it is in new condition."
If anybody could help me out it would be much appreciated....peace

.....but has counter-sunk holes AND exposed pins??? Looks like a PC Model 10 but has a CNC, not hand, ground utility blade. It sure is a little different than any others I've seen. You'd better get hold of it and fill us in on all the details.......;)

Some people will say a BM 10, others will say a BM 68, but is not either, it does have a utility blade found on both the 10 and the 68, but the exposed pins are on the 10 and the countersunk holes are on the 68. If it was a prototype than I think it was for a 10, are there any markings on the knife besides the logo and "Benchmade USA"?

Hmmmmmmm  ....this is a "Chuck Question"..., the points made above are all true, and I've never seen one like that either.

-Bottom Line- ~~> GET IT!

As we've recently learned, (quote Sniperboy here) BM has a tendency to modify Model 30's for "collectibility", so it good to be cautious. My first question would be to establish the time of production. If it was when they transitioned the blades for the Model 10's to the new style, and he could prove it, chances are it would be a prototype. Provenance is always a good thing.

Personally, I would pick it up simply because it is a non-standard production piece.

I don't know if this helps any but I found out that the blade says "Benchmade USA" on one side, and "Bali-song" on the other.
There's no patent numbers on the blade, but then again I can't remember off hand if the newer BM's don't have patent numbers either.
Besides that the guy said there were no other markings on the blade to help to identify it.
I did decide to buy it though, just for the collectibility of it.Thanks again to everybody who helped to out.

It is a BM, no doubt, but to me the blade looks like a utility, Dawkind said that it was a 30, which would make that a weehawk blade, either way the pins are exposed and the larger holes are countersunk which makes it unique. :) Sounds like a good purchase.:)
