This is a prototype ambi-dexterous linerlock that I will be unveiling at the blade show. It looks like an ordinary linerlock, and it basically is, but it can be made ambi-dexterous. All you have to do is swap 2 screws and the thumbstud and it is either right or left handed! I got the idea from all of the southpaws out there always having trouble finding customs in a left handed version. From this prototype I can just about make any screw together liner lock left handed. Blade is made from O-1, and is 3 1/8 in long and 5/32 thick! Bolsters are nickel silver and scales are antique gold micarta. Frame is Ti and backspacer is fileworked. Overall length is 7 1/8.
Thanks for looking.

Nice! I like especially the contrast between the yellowish and the greyish colors. The blade has a cat-like feeling to it.
GJ!

Cheers,

Hmmm. Chuck, I don't get it. You can't change an existing right handed liner lock and make it left handed. The mechanics just don't work that way. Maybe THIS knife has a feature that would allow you to change it but not an existing knife.

BTW, looks good! :)

What a great idea and what a great looking knife. That gold Micarta just looks fantastic on this knife and I really like the shape of the blade.

Thanks for thinking about us lefties, Chuck!:) Great idea, I hope it works out well for you. Very nice knife, I like the big bolsters and that is a great colored micarta.
