What blade style do you prefer?

What are the differences and why?

Special uses for different styles?

Kanto, Drop point & etc?

Just curious:eek:

For outdoor use, I like a drop-point blade the best. It's durable and versitle, and just works for me. I like a clip-point, too. It certainly looks better than a drop-point.
That said, the sheepsfoot, and probally the warncliffe (I don't have a warncliffe, but it looks kinda like a sheepsfoot) is the most versitle utility blade, in my opinion. It's the one I use at work the most. Great for opening boxes, static bags, cutting electrical tape, cutting traces on PC boards, ect.
And I use a spey blade alot, as I remove lables from the equipment I service all the time, kinda like a mini skinning blade.

The sheepsfoot has always been a favorite with me, but for everyday utility the clip-point is hard to beat (esp. the Walker clip-point found on the CRKT Bladelock).

For pure aesthetics the spear-point (or dagger) is very attractive.

Good luck,
Allen.

Clip point is my preference too for everday general use.

I also like the looks of a tanto blade, and find that they are not as useless as a lot of forum members here would lead you to believe - even the ones that are chisel ground.

Prefer hawkbill/claw blades forself defense, drop point or clip point for utility use. Also prefer fixed blades over folders.Just my own personal preference.Their are many top quality folders on the market, own many myself.
